Engage Leaders
Worked with Senior Leadership in the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in the Southeast to optimize change management during the design and build of a comprehensive clinical information system.
Engaged physicians in process improvement initiatives involving emergency room capacity, obstetrics, critical care, laboratory, patient safety, and more These initiatives achieved clinical as well as operational goals in the form of high quality, efficient care.
Wrote successful federal and foundation grants resulting in over $3 million allocated towards clinical programs.
Obtained federal funding to design, implement, and manage a top nationally- ranked comprehensive outpatient geriatric assessment center.
Prioritize Opportunities
Performed statistical analyses of large clinical operational databases to demonstrate performance on operational and clinical parameters for healthcare systems.
Worked with managed care entities to develop breakthrough diabetes disease management services for providers and consumers that demonstrated innovation in caring for patients. Also developed fee schedules that appealed to large physician organizations (> 3000) to become part of the provider network.

Trained and coached over 100 Black Belts and Green Belts in Lean Six Sigma.
Developed a patient safety strategic plan for a ten-hospital healthcare system.

Designed, implemented, and directed a model center dedicated to applied health services studies for a ten-hospital healthcare system, resulting in process improvement and significant cost savings.
Designed and completed performance improvement initiatives in diagnostic services and patient length of stay that led to significant gains in capacity, throughput, clinical quality, and medical error prevention.
Influence Culture
Acted as the Chief Communication Officer between the information systems and clinical personnel in designing, building, and rolling-out a $68 million clinical information system and electronic medical record.
Created provider and payer databases for quality assurance and contract negotiations that led to record participation in provider networks and patient enrollment.
Sustain Change
Implemented outpatient/ambulatory services performance improvement initiatives including organizational development, business function design, clinic/ancillary activity, information management, scheduling, and performance metrics.

Coordinated the creation of and served as Vice Chair for an inter-organizational coalition on patient safety that resulted in two Texas Forums on Patient Safety. These forums included national participation and corporate sponsorship and served as models for all other states.
Before founding Houston Health Innovations LLC in 2001, Anne-Claire held a number of executive positions in healthcare organizations. She has taught applied research, statistics, and psychology. She served as Adjunct Faculty at the Center for Health Studies, Houston Baptist University as well as academic appointments at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Schools of Medicine and Nursing and Northern Illinois University. In addition to certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt, in Health Care Administration, and as a Healthcare Quality Professional, Anne-Claire holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado (Boulder), a M.A. and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, and a Post Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (Medical School).
